The police of Fez arrested five people, including one ex-convicted for terrorist acts after calling for rallies in several places in the city, a violation of the state of health emergency decided to fight against the coronavirus, indicates an official press release.
The Moroccan Directorate General of National Security (DGSN) announced in a press release published on Monday March 23 on its Twitter account the arrest of an ex-convict in terrorist cases with four other people for violating the provisions of l health emergency established by the authorities to combat the spread of the Covid-19 epidemic.

In another press release distributed to the Moroccan press, the DGSN informs that the respondents, aged 26 to 49, were arrested as part of an investigation launched following the holding of collective prayers in the Medina and in the Aïn Kadouss and Bensouda neighborhoods in Fez, reports the Yabiladi news site, which points out that another defendant also has a criminal record for crimes of violence and damage to people and property.
The Directorate General of National Security also announced the arrest Sunday March 22 in Tangier of two people who incited people to assemble and thus violate the provisions of the state of health emergency.

In addition to the measures taken within the framework of the state of health emergency, King Mohammed VI ordered the Royal Armed Forces (FAR) to make available to the civil health system all the structures of military medicine in order to conduct the mission to combat the epidemic of Covid-19, announces a press release from the royal palace relayed by Médias 24 which specifies that this decision comes into force on Monday 23 March.
According to the latest official report from the Moroccan Ministry of Health, 143 cases of coronavirus contamination are being treated in hospitals, four people have died and three have recovered. The regional distribution shows that more than 60% of the cases are concentrated in the Casablanca-Settat, Rabat-Salé-Kénitra and Fès-Meknès regions.
