Tunis – Emir of the State of Qatar Sheikh Hamad Ben Khalifa Al Thani praised the wisdom and foresight of HM King Mohammed VI in his conduct of political reforms in Morocco, said Foreign Minister Saad Eddine El Othmani.
Sheikh Hamad Ben Khalifa Al Thani “praised the wisdom and foresight of HM King Mohammed VI in his conduct of political reforms in the kingdom and the concern of the sovereign to preserve the stability of Morocco and its building,” said El Othmani in an interview with MAP news agency following a meeting on Saturday in Tunis with the Emir of Qatar.
Sheikh Hamad Ben Khalifa Al Thani also voiced “his country’s willingness to boost cooperation with Morocco at all levels and in various areas,” he added, indicating that the Emir expressed Qatar’s support to “all efforts to build a united Arab Maghreb” and all initiatives aimed at coordinating positions of the two countries at regional and international levels.
El Othmani is part of the delegation led by Speaker of the House of Representatives Karim Ghallab, which also includes the Ambassador of Morocco to Tunisia, Najib Zerouali.
The delegation arrived on Friday in Tunis to represent His Majesty at the ceremony commemorating the first anniversary of the Tunisian revolution (January 14).
