Rabat – Head of government Abdelilah Benkirane called, on Thursday in Rabat, for efficient measures to fight the scourge of road accidents.
Speaking at the beginning of the weekly cabinet meeting, Benkirane extended his condolences to the families of victims that perished in the El Haouz accident on Tuesday, saying that “we must assume our full responsibility and take measures necessary to avert such tragedies.”
The State, the administration and all parties involved in road traffic safety are aware of their responsibility following this deplorable accident, he added.
The government is faced today with the challenge of efficiency in its fight against road accidents, he noted, insisting on the Executive’s responsibility regarding traffic control and respect for rules and regulations in force.
