The Desertec Sahara solar venture expects to sign an agreement withAlgeria next month to build a power plant in the North African country, Handelsblatt reported, citing an interview with the project manager.
The proposed plant would be Desertec’s third following plans for stations in Morocco and Tunisia, the newspaper said, citing Paul van Son, chief executive officer of Dii GmbH, Desertec’s Munich-based project-management company. No facilities have yet been built.
