Current Affairs Podcast: AslalYahud.org – Building Bridges Between Jews and Arabs

BY

Carol-Castiel-Show

The son of an Iraqi Jewish mother and Egyptian Jewish father, Rabbi Ephraim Gabbai conceived and created AslalYahud.org, an Arabic language website designed to make Jewish history and culture more accessible to Arabic-speakers. The site’s intended objective is to build bridges of understanding and underscore common values between Jews and Arabs around the world. Gabbai tells host Carol Castiel that AslalYahud.org, which means “origins of the Jews,” is attracting strong interest and curiosity from Morocco to Saudi Arabia. He starts the interview with a few words intended for Arabic-speaking listeners and then switches to English.
