CMA CGM and its Moroccan subsidiary, Comanov, have announced an upgrade of their West Med-Morocco service.
From next week, the world’s third biggest container shipping line will restructure the service through three separate loops serving Spain-Morocco, Italy-Morocco and France-Morocco.
The line said the upgrade is aimed at improving reliability, schedule integrity and transit times.
Loop 1 rotation from 11 April is Barcelona-Valencia TCV-Valencia Noatum-Casablanca-Barcelona, and from 18 April will be Valencia TCV-Valencia Noatum-Barcelona-Casablanca-Valencia TCV.
Loop 2 from 14 April will rotate Naples-La Spezia-Genoa-Casablanca-Salerno-Naples.
Loop 3 will be effective on 11 April, operated by two CMA CGM ro-ro vessels, will rotate between Marseilles-Casablanca-Marseilles twice a week.
Peter Verheijen, Deputy Vice-President of North Africa Services, said: “The service will be connected to the CMA CGM European Intermodal Network, thus offering door-to-door transport solutions to our clients.”
