Chinese President Xi Jinping and Moroccan King Mohammed the sixth have congratulated one another on the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and Morocco.
In his message to the Moroccan King, Xi said Morocco was among the first African countries that established diplomatic relations with China, and the two countries’ bilateral relations have been growing steadily over the past 60 years.
Xi said that he is very satisfied that china-morocco relations have developed rapidly and bilateral cooperation in various fields has been very fruitful after the two countries established a strategic partnership.
In his message to Xi, Moroccan King Mohammed the sixth said he is satisfied with the smooth development of Morocco-China relations over the past 60 years. He said the two countries have always enjoyed mutual understanding and trust in each other, and bilateral trade cooperation has kept growing rapidly.

EU Recalls Chief Representative In Tanzania For Discussions
The European Union said on Saturday it has recalled its Chief Representative in Tanzania for discussions, following reports the Tanzanian government had asked him to leave the country.
An EU official says the representative will discuss the situation with senior officials in Brussels.
The eu, like the united states, has been critical of the government’s human rights record. It has also condemned recent incidents it said had tarnished tanzania’s relatively good record.
Rights activists claim that president john magufuli, who came to power in 2015, has cracked down on dissent and freedom of expression.
Cameroonian Police have arrested 19 supporters of opposition leader Maurice Kamto at protests against President Paul Biya on Sunday. Kamto has disputed the results of October`s presidential elections.
Local authorities and eye witnesses say the arrests were made in the town of Bafoussam in the country’s west where Kamto backers were picketing.
Kamto came second in the elections with 14 percent of the vote behind incumbent Biya, but insists the process was marred by widespread fraud. He has called for an independent vote recount.
Members of Kamto’s Movement for the Rebirth of Cameroon posted images of their protest on social media on Sunday. They say the process was an electoral “hold-up”.
Prince Charles And Duchess Of Cornwall In Ghana
Britain’s Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall have been in Ghana since Friday.
Children lined the streets waving miniature Ghanaian and UK flags to welcome them. Charles said returning to Kumasi brought back fond memories of time he spent in the city 41 years ago.
They have also attended a traditional celebration of leaders – as part of their visit to the country.
Prince Charles is scheduled to address young entrepreneurs later today.
Next destination for the royal couple is Nigeria.
