Chicago – The means to foster cooperation between Chicago and Casablanca were at the heart of talks on Thursday in Chicago between the Mayors of the two cities, Rahm Emanuel and Mohammed Sajid respectively.
The meeting, which was also attended by Morocco’s Housing and Urbanism Minister Nabil Benabdallah, also focused on the preparations for the 30th anniversary of the Casablanca-Chicago twining agreement and the means to reinforce cooperation between the two big cities.
In this respect, Emanuel expressed willingness to extend cooperation to the sector of water management.
For his part, Benabdallah noted that water management is an issue of main concern for his department.
In the same vein, the Mayor of Casablanca raised the lack of infrastructure relating to water management and stressed the need for an exchange of expertise with Chicago in this field.
