Braemar Golf St Andrews have revealed the name and new identity of the golf club at the Casa Green Town urban golf community in Casablanca, which has been developed by Compagnie Générale Immobiliére (CGI).
The club will be known as “Casa Green Golf Club” and the identity reinforces the management of the club by Braemar Golf, who have created a joint venture golf services company with CGI to manage and develop the golf assets owned by CGI
Casa Green Golf Club forms the heart of the Casa Green Town urban development, which is located in downtown Casablanca. The development comprises a mixed urban centre, business park, shopping area and diverse mix of residential properties around a core golf course concept which has been skilfully designed by renowned golf course architect, Jeremy Pern. A clubhouse with architecture and interiors designed by Moroccan company JLA Architect, is currently under construction and current plans are for a mid 2012 opening. Construction of the golf course is complete and being grown in by our rapidly expanding operational team.
The sales of property has been a major success with over 650 units sold in phase 1, with over 80% to the domestic market which will ensure a vibrant community from the very start. Properties are due to be handed over imminently. Future phases are now currently underway.
Andrew Glen, General Manager of Braemar Golf (Maroc) commented “the pre opening phases of Casa Green Golf Club are very much in full swing now and we anticipate launching membership packages in early 2012 to both residents of Casa GreenTown and external clients.”
A key element is the magnificent practice facilities, including 4 hole short course, which has been designed by Jeremy Pern and will be complemented by a purpose built golf academy. Both Braemar Golf and CGI have committed to developing golf in Morocco and Andrew went on to say “we will be offering academy memberships to encourage people and especially families to try golf and see Casa Green Golf Club as a social hub to enjoy, relax, entertain and do business at.”
