RABAT, Sept. 30 (Xinhua) — Canadian aircraft builder Bombardier will start a manufacturing unit in Morocco with 200 million U.S. dollars investment in January 2013, announced Abdelkader Amara, Moroccan Minister of Trade, Industry, and New Technologies.

Bombardier Aerospace is present in Canada, the United States, Mexico and Ireland. By 2020, its Casablanca unit will create 850 skilled jobs, local radio quoted Amara as saying.

Bombardier Aerospace president Guy Hachey recently visited Morocco and met with King Mohamed.

This Casablanca unit, the first one in Africa, will be implemented in a free zone near the airport which offers five years of financial incentives including no taxes, 8.75 percent for another 20 years and 17.5 percent thereafter.

Many international companies in the aviation sector have set up manufactories in Morocco. The volume of exports of this sector has increased to 1 billion dollars in 2011.
