Berlin – The Bundestag (German Parliament) rejected a motion hostile to Morocco presented by the left party group (Die Linke).

The major parliamentarian groups rejected the motion during a special session on Thursday.

The foreign-affairs committee had recommended voting against the motion, presented in December 2010 following the Gdeim Izik events that took place in the southern city of Laayoune.
