Darrell B. Ingvaldson recently completed his final seminar with the Minnesota Agriculture and Rural Leadership program. Ingvaldson, a Farm Bureau agent involved with numerous conservation and agricultural programs in the Austin area, traveled to Morocco with 29 classmates from across Minnesota.

Ingvaldson¹s class visited a donkey veterinary hospital, learned about ag research on olive trees and oil production and was honored with a dinner given at the home of U.S. Ambassador Sam Kaplan and his wife, Sylvia, who are from Minnesota. The class went on to tour a poverty-stricken area, visit an after-school enrichment program and tour a feedlot and dairy cooperative farm.

³The eye-opening study, tours and cultural immersion will help class members be better leaders in their home communities, in agriculture and in Minnesota,² said Dan Hoffman, MARL executive director.
