Belgian airline Jetairfly is launching B737-700 and B737-800 flights from Bologna to Morocco, adding Marrakech to the Italian airport’s routes and boosting its Casablanca flights.
A weekly Bologna–Marrakech service starts on May 22, flying on Wednesdays at 6.35pm from Bologna and touching down at 8.55pm. Flights from Marrakech take off at 1.25pm and arrive at 5.40pm.
Bologna–Casablanca is due to commence on June 21, with a twice weekly service.
From Bologna, flights will leave on Wednesdays at 2.40am (arrival at 5am) and Fridays at 3.35am (arrival 5.55am).
Flights from Casablanca are scheduled for Tuesday 8.10pm (arrival 1.20am Wednesday) and Thursday at 9.15pm (arrival Friday 2.25am).
Bologna Airport expects the new route to serve Moroccan residents in Italy and to stimulate tourism from Italy to North Africa.
Air Arabia Maroc and Royal Air Maroc both already fly from Bologna to Casablanca
