DuPont Performance Polymers has signed an agreement in which Biesterfeld Plastic will distribute the company’s materials in Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia and Ukraine.

Biesterfeld, which has its headquarters in Hamburg, Germany, has distributed DuPont’s polymers in a number of European countries since 1987.

Rudy van Engen, DuPont’s commercial and channel manager for the EMEA region, said: “Our channel partners are a key part of the continuing success and growth of DuPont in both existing and emerging markets. We are delighted that we have been able to extend our collaboration with Biesterfeld Plastic, which will ultimately give our customers local and better access to our products and services. The successful collaboration with our distributor over the last 25 years also shows that channel partnerships really do work and we are confident that we will both grow and strengthen our position in these markets.”

The new agreement covers the following DuPont polymer brands: Crastin PBT, Delrin acetal, Elvamide, Hytrel TPC-ET, Hytrel Renewably Sourced polymer, Minlon PA, Rynite PET, Sorona EP, Zytel PA, Zytel PLUS, Zytel HTN and Zytel Renewably Sourced polymer.
