Rabat (MAP) – Aziz Akhannouch announced, on Sunday, that he had resigned from the National Rally of the Independents (RNI), which opted for the opposition following the general election of November 25.
“After four years of activity within the National Rally of the Independents, I tendered my resignation from the party,” he said in a statement.
The outgoing agriculture and fisheries minister said he would join no other political party.
The RNI had come third in the legislative elections with 52 seats.
