Azerbaijan`s Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov met visiting Moroccan Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation Latifa Akharbach.
Latifa Akharbach congratulated Azerbaijan on election as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council for 2012-2013 and wished successes.
Mammadyarov also congratulated Morocco on election as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council for 2012-2013.The Azeri Minister expressed hope Azerbaijan and Morocco would closely cooperate in a variety of fields within the UN Security Council. Azerbaijan`s Foreign Minister briefed the Moroccan Secretary of State on the peace talks on the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.During the meetings, they also discussed cooperation within international organizations and other issues of mutual interest.
