Morocco is the hottest and most easily reachable destination for autumn last-minute holidays, say leading online travel retailer, Holiday Hypermarket.
All across this North African country, just a low-cost flight away from main British airports, average temperatures reach the mid-twenties well into the month of October. This prompted even the authoritative travel guide Lonely Planet to recommend autumn as thebest time to visit Morocco.
Making a Moroccan trip even more tempting, the country’s exotic attractions have become increasingly easier to reach and explore recently. This follows a 2006 open-skies agreement which resulted in many low-cost flights to Morocco from all around Europe. As a consequence, Marrakech and Agadir, two popular destinations for flights from Britain, are now far more accessible for those travelling on a budget.
On top of these developments, state investments in transport infrastructures have reached €10.73bn over the last four years, with airports benefitting greatly. Among them, Casablanca’s airport is enjoying a number of upgrades in Terminal One and will soon welcome the arrival of a new Terminal Three.
