FircoSoft, the leading global provider of watch list filtering solutions announced today that its customer Attijariwafa Bank, headquartered in Casablanca (Morocco), has rolled out its Firco Filtering Suite to the bank’s other African subsidiaries.

Attijariwafa Bank, the first banking and financial group in Maghreb, has been using Firco Filtering Suite solution since 2010 in order to eliminate the risk of processing illegal international transactions and improve customer identity control throughout the Group. The Bank has been equipped by Firco Continuity for SWIFTAlliance Access (SAA) to screen payment messages from Morocco and from its subsidiaries across Africa in real time, thanks to a centralized filtering platform. This system allows the efficient filtering of the transactions processed daily throughout the group, while enabling each unit to connect and view hits, make decisions and publish the required reporting. To enhance Know Your Customer (KYC) due diligence, Attijariwafa Bank also deployed Firco Trust for customer and entity screening to prevent the bank from doing business with risky financial counterparties.

“For the last two years, the global market leader FircoSoft has been the ideal partner to accompany us in our fight against terrorism financing. Today, we have successfully rolled out the solution to more African subsidiaries. To address regulatory requirements, FircoSoft offers a reliable solution that meets our business requirements in Africa,” said Mr Mohamed Benjelloun, IT Project Manager at Attijariwafa Bank.

“Africa is a growing economic market where financial institutions must embrace the latest international standards in compliance. We are delighted to help Attijariwafa Bank in that way and to provide them with Firco Filtering Suite for Morocco, Congo, Ivory Coast, Gabon, Senegal, and now Cameroon and Mauritania”, says Christophe Destephen, Sales Manager, Continental Europe Middle East and Africa, FircoSoft.
