Celebrate Valentine’s with Buttercup and Westley in “The Princess Bride.”
The Screenland Armour had planned to show “Casablanca” for Valentine’s Day, but the film just got pulled from distribution because it’s headed for another Blu-ray release.
So the theater, 408 Armour Road in North Kansas City, has a new plan — two plans, actually. It will show “Roman Holiday,” the classic Audrey Hepburn/Gregory Peck romance, at 2 p.m. Feb. 11 and 6:20 p.m. Feb. 14. And it will show Rob Reiner’s sweet “The Princess Bride” at 8 p.m. Feb. 11 and 8:30 p.m. Feb. 14.
You can just see a movie, or, for $60, get a package that includes two tickets, popcorn, a box of Christopher Elbow chocolates and a bottle of Francis Ford Coppola wine.
Meanwhile, get similar packages at the Screenland Crossroads (“Amelie” and “Moulin Rouge”) and Screenland Crown Center (“Breakfast at Tiffany’s”). Details at screenland.com.
