Sidi Bettache (Benslimane province) – The rural electrification programme benefited by the end of June 2012 a population of nearly 12 million, the national electricity utility (ONE) said.
Since its launch in 1995, the programme benefited 35,000 villages giving around 1,969,200 families access to electricity, an ONE official said during a visit to Sidi Battache by French Minister Delegate for Development Pascal Canfin.
The programme has been implemented for 10,400 million dirhams, that is 45% of the total budget of the rural electrification programme.
