Italy’s Ansaldo STS SpA (STS.MI) Thursday said its consortium had won a 120-million-euro ($154 million) contract to build a signalling and communications system for a planned line for a high-speed train in Morocco.
Ansaldo said in a statement it and consortium partner Cofely Ineo had won the contract from Office National des Chemins de Fer, which is overseeing the construction of the railway line between Tangiers and Kenitra.
Ansaldo is a unit of Finmeccanica SpA (FNC.MI), while Coleo Ineo belongs to GDF Suez SA (GSZ.FR).
