Carlo Ancelotti, Real Madrid’s Italian manager, expressed his gratitude Thursday for the support his club is receiving from soccer fans in Marrakech during the 2014 FIFA Club World Cup.

In a video posted on social networks, he thanked the Moroccan fans who appear to overwhelmingly favor the Spanish side in the tournament and are backing Madrid in this Saturday’s final against Argentinian San Lorenzo.

While there are already 7,000 San Lorenzo followers in Marrakech, it is expected that about 3,000 Real Madrid fans will arrive shortly to attend the competition’s final match.

Meanwhile, Carlo Ancelotti’s squad has the backing of the local public, as was evident in the semi-final against the Mexican club Cruz Azul. Ancelotti thanked fans for the outpouring of support Real Madrid received during and after the game.

“I am very impressed with the support we’ve received from our fans both here in Morocco and Africa,” he said.
