Lebanese singer Amal Hijazi has stressed that she has the utmost respect for all religions and would never take part in a project or present a song that would insult any of them. The singer also denied reports that she danced inside the Al Hassan II Mosque in Morocco while filming her latest music video “Bi Amilni” (He treats me).
Amal made her comments in reply to accusations against her that she intentionally insulted Muslims and defied their beliefs and feelings by filming dance scenes inside a mosque.
The singer stated that the scene in the clip that shows her walking on the outskirts of the mosque and was wearing dark conservative cloths and never danced in the mosque and it is not her character to insult any religion in such a way.
Amal said that the dance scene in the clip was filmed at a location that is half an hour away by car from the mosque.
