Algerian FM Cites “Positive Change” In Relations Between Morocco And Algeria

Algerian foreign minister, Morad Medelci, said here this Sunday that relations between Morocco and Algeria are undergoing a positive change.

Medelci who was speaking at a press briefing following the 31st session of the Arab Maghreb Union foreign ministers council stressed that relations between the two neighboring countries are undergoing “month after month a positive change”, adding that the two countries are driven by the same will to promote ties in all fields.
“We share the same ambitions and we both wish that relations will evolve in a positive and quick manner to become normal relations covering, particularly human and economic fields”.
The foreign ministers of the Arab Maghreb Union (Algeria, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco and Tunisia) called at the meeting for achieving economic integration in the region, building on complementarity and potentials in the five member countries.
They also called for closer coordination to face security challenges resulting from the terrorist and illegal traffics entailed by the crisis in Mali and the Sahel-Sahara region.
