Algeria frees Ghardaia protestors

Algerian authorities on Tuesday (April 2nd) released eight activists arrested after theGhardaia protests, Tout sur l’Algerie quoted the Algerian League for the Defence of Human Rights (LADDH) as saying.

Last Tuesday, a demonstration to demand employment led to violent confrontations between law enforcement officials and protestors, resulting in the arrest of 18 people.
