The Loft Art Gallery is offering a new exhibition dedicated the Moroccan painter Ahmed Krifla, from 14 March to 7 April 2012. It will gather about thirty works by the artist.
Ahmed Krifla was born and grew up in Taza, a town in the north of Morocco. In love with his country, he painted every aspect of it, from the beginning of his career to the end of the 50s. His painting is figurative, he painted what he saw: landscapes, family life et.. While adding to it a slightly surrealist aspect, through his use of lively shades of red, orange, and purple throughout his work, creating lights and shadows, transforming reality.
Due to the fact that he always refused to leave Morocco, each of his exhibitions, whether collective or individual, have taken place in Morocco, since the first one in 1957 to the latest in 2008.
