Headspring Begins Phase Six of the Custom Software Project for EPA Systems

Business WirePress Release: Headspring – 5 hours ago

AUSTIN, Texas–(BUSINESS WIRE)– Headspring, a custom software provider, today announced the beginning of phase six of their extensive project with EPA Systems, LLC, an environmental consulting company specializing in all facets of air quality measurements.

Headspring is working with EPA Systems and its client, one of the largest oil and gas companies in the world, to help the company conform to new U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (U.S. EPA) regulations. Headspring is developing important software to help EPA Systems and its clients meet the U.S. EPA requirements. The law requires oil and gas companies to monitor and report on more than 17 different operations that emit greenhouse gasses. Headspring was given the challenge of creating an innovative and effective data analysis software program to give the company the ability to gather and report the information with ease. The complexity of the project stems from the lack of standardization of reporting processes within the natural gas industry, along with the continuously changing law.

“This project with EPA Systems has been an exciting challenge we were capable of completing and eager to take on,” said Dustin Wells, CEO of Headspring. “We are proud to work with a proactive company like EPA Systems for the betterment of our environment.”

The newly developed custom software can generate a report with a high-level view within 10 minutes of the data being entered into the system. In addition, it provides insight into the company to enable cost-saving opportunities.

“Headspring has been a key player in developing and providing a custom software solution we can offer our customer,” said Jackie Anderson, co-founder and owner of EPA Systems. The Headspring team has made such traction on the project, we have expanded the business-friendly capabilities of the software and enhanced the value.”

The first emission reports are due to the U.S. EPA in September 2012.
