French botanical ingredients supplier Naturex has continued its expansion in North America with the opening of a subsidiary in Toronto, Canada.
Headed up by sales director Maxence Duprez, the new premises includes a warehouse and sales office and supports the development of food and nutraceutical/pharmaceutical markets.
Naturex has been operating in the United States since the late 1990s, said Duprez, but consumer expectations and regulations were different in Canada.
“Our office in Toronto is targeting the specific needs of the Canadian market. It gives us the opportunity to enhance the relationship with our existing clients as well as prospecting new ones.”
On the acquisition trail
Naturex, which manufactures natural specialty ingredients for the food & beverage, nutrition & health and personal care industries, has production facilities in New Jersey and California, Brazil, Australia, Morocco and Europe (France, Italy, Spain, Switzerland and England).
