Ukraine’s Grain Exports Declined This Month, Researcher Says

Ukraine’s grain exports were 486,400 metric tons in the first 10 days this month, down 6.2 percent for the same period in November, UkrAgroConsult said.

Shipments in first ten days of December included 121,000 tons of wheat and 342,700 tons of corn, the Kiev-based researcher said in e-mailed statement today.

Wheat was exported mostly to Israel andSpain, and corn went to Tunisia, Spain and Morocco, it said. Some 1.1 million tons of grain, including 945,800 tons of corn and 182,100 tons of wheat, are due to be shipped, according to UkrAgroConsult.

Sunflower oil exports were 103,200 tons in the first 10 days compared with 87,700 tons in the same period in December last year, the researcher said. Sunflower oil was exported to India, Turkey, Saudi Arabiaand Malaysia, it said.
