Senior military leaders from Morocco and Britain discussed here on Thursday measures to strengthen bilateral military cooperation, official news agency MAP reported.
The discussion between Abdelfattah Louarak, the inspector general of Morocco’s armed forces, and James Heappey, British minister for the armed forces, focused on strengthening bilateral military cooperation, such as training officers, sharing experience and expertise, and holding joint exercises, the agency said.
Heappey, who is on a two-day visit to Morocco, also held talks with Minister Delegate for National Defense Abdellatif Loudyi, and Commander of the Royal Gendarmerie Mohamed Haramou.
The report said that the military leaders of both countries exchanged views on the regional security situation, particularly in the Mediterranean area, and the fight against terrorism.
They also reiterated their common desire to develop cooperation in the defense industry and cybersecurity, the report added. Enditem
