Morocco confirms 26 new COVID-19 cases, 7,833 in total

Morocco on Monday announced 26 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number in the North African country to 7,833.

Meanwhile, 434 more have recovered from the disease, taking the tally of recoveries to 5,893, with some 13 patients being treated in intensive care units, said Mouad Mrabet, coordinator of the Moroccan Centre for Public Health at a press briefing.

The death rate of coronavirus stabilizes at 2.6 percent, while the recovery rate is continuing its rise to 75 percent, he added.

Casablanca has remained the worst-hit region in the country with 2,660 cases, followed by Marrakech-Safi with 1,400. Enditem
