Moroccan Minister of Health Khalid Ait Taleb said 104 passengers who were on the same plane with the Moroccan who tested positive for coronavirus are being closely watched over by the services of the Health Ministry.
Speaking in a press conference on Tuesday, Khalid Ait Taleb stressed that the family of the Moroccan citizen, whose infection with the disease has been confirmed, as well as the 104 other passengers are “placed in isolation”.
The patient, a 39 year-old Moroccan, entered Morocco by the end of February coming from Italy, however, he’s in stable condition, according to the minister.
Taleb also stressed that efforts were made as early as Monday to contact those who had been with the patient on the plane, in addition to his family members.
“These people are in solitary confinement in order to comply with hygienic conditions in order to contain the disease.”
According to the minister, until this moment “no one has developed symptoms that could be revealing coronavirus.”
Taleb assured that the medical services of the ministry make two visits per day to all those under surveillance to check if any possible symptoms appeared to take additional measures.
