Australia Willing To Support Morocco's Democratic Development – Emissary

Rabat  –  The Australian government is ready to support Morocco in its democratic development, Australian Emissary William Bill Fisher said on Thursday in Rabat.

Speaking following a meeting in Rabat with Foreign Minister Taib Fassi Fihri, Fisher expressed admiration for the large scale projects launched in the Kingdom, adding that his country is ready to support Morocco in its democratic development.

“Morocco is a key country in the Mediterranean region,” said the Australian official, saying that his country is seeking new means to further bolster bilateral cooperation with the Kingdom.

Fisher, a former Ambassador to Rabat, commended Morocco for its economic achievements during the last decade .

Australia, he said, is looking forward to learn from Morocco’s analysis and recommendations concerning the situation in Africa and the Mediterranean as well as  at the level of global issues.

On Wednesday, Fisher held talks with Head of Government Abbas El Fassi.
