Univar appoints Country Manager for Morocco

Brussels, Belgium – 7 December, 2011 – Univar, a leading global chemical distributor, announced today that it has appointed Abderrahim Anasse as Country Manager of its Moroccan business. Anasse will concentrate on building a sustainable and profitable business in Morocco with a particular focus on the food, pharmaceutical, household, and personal care sectors. To support these objectives, he will be responsible for recruiting a skilled team of professionals and developing long-term relationships with new suppliers.

Anasse joins Univar from Orkila Morocco where he worked for five years as a commercial director, focused on cosmetic ingredients and food. At Orkila, he helped develop a number of cosmetic offerings as well as a range of food products, including low-sugar chewing gum and chocolate biscuits. Prior to Orkila, Anasse spent seven years working as sales and marketing manager for the Morocco arm of global production conglomerate, 3M.
