Morocco Hosts Int’l Quranic Studies Conference

An international conference on Quranic studies was held in the city of Tangier in Morocco.

According to middle-east-online website, scholars and experts from various countries are attending the event, which kicked off on Thursday and concluded on Friday.

They presented their papers in Arabic, English and French.

The International Quranic Studies Society of Morocco organized the conference, hosted by the Morocco branch of US’ University of New England (UNE).

Quran and other religions; translation and interpretation of the Quran; methods of Quran studies and Quran interpretation; and criteria of Quran interpretation were among the topics discussed at the international Quranic event.
