Morocco’s consulate in Tunis announced Friday night that it had begun the repatriation process of Moroccans who died in a Libya center that was hit by a deadly raid last week in Tajoura.
In a communiqué relayed by MAP news agency, the consulate stressed that it had “initiated the repatriation process, which will be split into three phases, starting form July 12”.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation has informed the families of the victims about the arrival times at the Mohammed VI International Airport in Casablanca.
The consulate, which is also collaborating with the Libyan Red Crescent, has reached out to Moroccans to evacuate them.
The families of the victims are urged to reach out to the two cells set up by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (00212613500678) and the Consulate of the Kingdom in Tunis (0021698765801).
For the record, seven Moroccan nationals were killed, eight injured and three others are missing in a deadly raid that hit a migrant center in Tajoura, near Tripoli, the Moroccan consulate in Tunis said last Saturday.
