Morocco’s annual International Agriculture Fair kicked off on Tuesday in the northern city of Meknes.

The opening ceremony of the 14th edition of this fair was chaired by Morocco’s Crown Prince Moulay Hassan.

The crown prince, along with representatives of several countries, toured the fair pavilions and handed distinctive signs of origin and quality to four farmers from various regions of the country.

Held on an area covering 185,000 square meters, the six-day fair is attended by 1,500 exhibitors from 60 countries with Switzerland as a guest of honor of this edition.

Since its debut in 2006, the fair has been an opportunity to promote transfer of latest technologies in the field of agriculture and to boost cooperation between stakeholders in the Mediterranean and African countries.
