Russia’s Gazprom, Novatek May Invest in Gas Infrastructure Projects in Morocco – Mr Patrushev

Urdu Point cited Mr Dmitry Patrushev, the Russian agriculture minister and co-chairman of the Russian-Moroccan Intergovernmental Commission, as saying that Russia’s Gazprom, Novatek and Stroytransgaz companies are studying the possibility of co-investing in the construction of logistics infrastructure as well as development of gas infrastructure in industrial areas of Morocco.

He said that “The possibility of the largest Russian companies, such as Gazprom, Novatek, and Stroytransgaz, entering projects on the construction of logistics facilities and development of gas infrastructure in industrial areas of Morocco as co-investors is being considered.”

Mr Patrushev said that in addition, work on creating joint Russian-Moroccan enterprises, including in the field of mechanical engineering, as well as production of electrical equipment and lubricants is underway.

He said that there are a lot of promising areas of economic cooperation between Russia and Morocco, including the transport, energy and trade sectors.

He further added that a draft agreement between the Russian and Moroccan governments on international road transportation is in the final stage of preparations.
