If Muirfield Village has become too mundane for you, you might check out Jack Nicklaus’ newest golf course — in Morocco’s Middle Atlas Mountains.

Nicklaus Design announced the opening of Michlifen Golf and Country Club, its first course in the North African country.

In a press release, Palm Beach Gardens-based Nicklaus Design said the 18-hole course at an altitude of 5,400 feet features “picturesque mountain landscapes and lush forest land.”

Nicklaus, who grew up in Upper Arlington and attended Ohio State University, called the course “one of the most scenic, beautiful vistas you will find for a golf experience.”
