Madonna celebrated her 60th birthday in Morocco.
The Queen of Pop celebrated her diamond jubilee in Marrakesh, posting a series of photos on Instagram Thursday (Aug. 16) to memorialize the royal celebration. Her six children were all in attendance, as were an extensive circle of friends — including touring dancer Marvin Gofin, “Younger” and “Entourage” actress Debi Mazar, and renowned French photographer JR.

In the series of photos, Madonna made her place as the crown jewel of pop music known. In one shot, she holds up a sign with “The Queen” written out in English and Arabic. “In case somebody forget!” reads the caption.
Earlier on her birthday, Madonna gave fans a gift of their own when she uploaded her performance from this year’s Met Gala. She also announced plans to raise funds through the end of August for her charity Raising Malawi.
