London – The parliamentary elections, to be held Friday in Morocco, “are an important milestone” in the reform process in the country, said a spokesperson of the UK Foreign Office.
“These elections are an important milestone in this process because as a result of recent reforms, Morocco’s democratically elected politicians will be able to exercise greater power than ever before”, he told MAP news agency, voicing the UK’s support to the ongoing process.
The British government repeatedly hailed the democratic reforms undertaken by Morocco.
In a recent address to the House of Commons about the situation in the Middle East and North Africa, British Foreign Minister William Hague, welcomed the political progress that has been made in Morocco
