North Africa junior oiler SDX Energy Inc (LON:SDX; CVE:SDX) has begun well operations on the ELQ-1 well at the Gharb Centre permit in Morocco.
ELQ-1 is the fourth well in SDX’s nine well campaign and the first of two commitment wells planned at Gharb, which was acquired over summer from Circle Oil.

The company reckons it will take between 15 and 20 days to drill the well and, if successful, it will then be completed, flow tested and connected to existing production facilities.
The Gharb Centre permit is adjacent to the AIM-quoted firm’s Sebou project with ELQ-1 being about 400 metres from the existing Sebou infrastructure.

Speaking of Sebou, the KSR-16 well is expected to be completed and connected to exsiting production facilities next week.
Once the connection is completed the well is expected to be tested and the results reported further down the line.
