The 4th meeting of foreign ministers’ of Turkish-Arab Cooperation Forum has ended in Rabat, Morocco on Wednesday. Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu attended the half-day forum which was not participated by Syria due to recent incidents in that country.

Davutoglu said negotiations between Palestine and Israel could only prove successful if they were conducted on a basis that provided an equal status for both of the parties.

“Israelis enjoy the privileges of being a state for 63 years now but our Palestinian brothers are deprived of the very same right. This is an injustice which needs to be fixed at once. It would be more realistic approach to continue the negotiations on a basis of two equal states,” Davutoglu said.

Davutoglu said Turkey would continue exerting efforts to end “this humanitarian tragedy.”

“As the Turkish-Arab Cooperation Forum, we are sending a strong message to Israel to end its siege on Gaza immediately and unconditionally,” he said.

Decisions which were made during the forum are expected to be announced in a press conference.

Turkish-Arab Cooperation Forum was initiated under a framework agreement which was signed between Turkey and Arab League in 2007. The forum aims to develop relations between Turkey and Arab countries in several areas.

First ministerial meeting of the forum took place in Istanbul in 2008, the second in Damascus in 2009, and the third in Istanbul in 2010.
