Morocco’s central bank kept its benchmark interest rate unchanged at 2.25 percent on Tuesday saying the inflation forecast is consistent with the price stability objective.
The bank, citing structural improvement in bank liquidity, has also raised banks’ reserve requirement to 5 percent from 2 percent and said it will start paying interest on the required reserves of banks making more efforts in terms of lending.
