Chefchaouen is a unique and charismatic of Morocco, known as the town blue due to the indigo dye which is used to paint houses, stairs, doors, windows, and even the street in amazing shades of blue.

Located in the mountains of the Rift, an oasis for relaxation and contact with local culture and cuisine. Is also a paradise for lovers of photography.

Chefchaouen was founded by Moulay Rachid Ben Ali in order to serve as a backup to the troops and people who fought the Portuguese fleet in Tangier.

Later, with the expulsion of the Moors in Spain, gained notoriety and became a notorious bastion of Arabic, so that any Christian who enter here was punished with death.

Historically resisted the onslaught Spanish and joined the Kingdom of Morocco fully only after the country’s independence in 1956.
