Lisbon – The well-known hotel La Momounia in Marrakech is a prestigious palace where history and legend have become inseparable over the last 300 years, writes the Portuguese magazine “Travel and Safaris”.

La Mamounia, a world-recognized palace that is encircled by a twelfth century park eight hectares long, is in a constant state of spring and is home to an earthly paradise in the beating heart of a mythical city that seduces visitors with its colors, its scents and its contrasts, the magazine says in its latest issue.

Supported by stunning visuals and elegant design, the magazine points out that La Mamounia spreads its splendours with discretion and style, noting that the power of the architecture, the richness of materials, the quiet gardens and the enchantment of new sounds give it a lifestyle that is both warm and refined.

Besides its magic, history, and charm, the hotel also provides excellent service, which has earned it numerous awards. It has also housed generations of showbiz stars and politicians, including movie stars Charlie Chaplin, Yul Brynner, Marlene Dietrich, James Stewart, Barbara Hendrix and Alfred Hitchcock, as well as the British Prime Minister Winston Churchill and the French General DeGaulle, says the magazine.

Its fabulous riads offer not only a refined and intimate atmosphere but also a unique sensory experience: a profusion of light and color, breathtaking views of the Atlas, rooms and suites with elegant decor, the prestigious Palace is a myth that combines tradition and modern luxury.
