Musicians from the five continents will share the stage the next September 9-13, during the XVI Jazz Festival in the Moroccan city of Tangier.
Known as Tanjazz, at the meeting will converge twenty bands and will be represented different styles, like electric groove, blues and soul-rock.
Cuban pianist Ivan Melon Lewis and the Cuban Express will provide Afro-Latin music to the appointment. Argentine Minino Garay and Americans Ruby Landen and Nikki Hill will provide their contemporary and refreshing sound.
With the slogan “The jazz of the 5 Continents”, this cultural event will bring together musicians from Europe and Asia. Groups from Senegal, Algeria, Lebanon and Australia also are expected to attend.
The Italian Palace in Tangier will host the large-scale and the intimist concerts of Tanjazz, which is rated as the most important jazz festival in Morocco.
