Rabat , October 26, 2011 –
Spain would like to support Morocco and to “defend its decisive causes,” said, on Tuesday in Rabat, Spanish Foreign Minister Trinidad Jiminez.
“Spain supports the process of democratic reform in Morocco and would like to support the Kingdom and defend its decisive causes,” said Jiminez during his talks with Speaker of the House of Councillors, Mohamed Cheikh Biadillah.
In a statement to the press after the talks, the Spanish foreign minister highlighted the “excellent relations” linking the two neighbouring countries.
A statement from the Upper House indicated that the Spanish official has shown great interest in the profound changes taking place in Morocco and the powers conferred by the new Moroccan Constitution to the House of Councillors.
