Doha: The Emir H H Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani issued yesterday a set of instruments of ratification on a draft agreement for cooperation in legal field between the Governments of the State of Qatar and the Republic of Belarus as well as on a draft memorandum of understanding (MoU) on tourism cooperation and another draft agreement between the Governments of the two countries on exempting private passport holders from both countries from the requirement of obtaining an entry visa.
The Emir also issued ratification instruments approving a draft agreement on media cooperation between Qatar and the Republic of Belarus and a draft memorandum of understanding (MoU) on joint news exchange ad cooperation between Qatar news agency (QNA) and Belarus News Agency (Belta) signed in Doha on 15-08-2011.
The Emir also issued two ratification documents approving the ratification of a protocol for cultural cooperation in the renovation of castles, forts, archaeological sites and historical monuments in Qatar between the Governments of the State of Qatar and the Kingdom of Morocco as well as a convention on mutual administrative assistance to enable the correct application of customs law and to prevent, investigate and combat crimes / violations related to customs between the two governments signed up in Doha on 2-02-2011.
The Emir issued as well a document approving the ratification of the agreement struck between the Governments of the State of Qatar and the Republic of France on training Qatar medical specialists in France. The agreement was signed in Doha on 27/04/2010.
The emir also issued another ratification document approving of two draft memos of exchanged between the Governments of the State of Qatar and Japan on the mutual exemption of income taxes resulting from the works and activities of ships and airlines, and considering them as an agreement between the two countries.
The Emir also issued an Instrument of ratification approving a draft memorandum of understanding (MoU) on economic, trade ad technical cooperation between the Governments of the State of Qatar and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, signed in Luxembourg on 09/06/2011.
The Emir issued another instrument of ratification approving the State of Qatar¹s accession to the Arab Convention for the Protection of Copyright and Related Rights (Amended version of the Arab Convention for the Protection of Copyright- Baghdad 1981), taking into account not recognizing Article (7) as part of the Convention and taking the second option of Article No.(21) of the said Convention.
