Doha –
A delegation of Moroccan businessmen from various sectors arrived, Sunday morning in Doha (Qatar), the first stage of a business exploration trip to three countries of the 6-nation Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).
After Doha, the delegation will fly to Kuwait and United Arab Emirates, as a part of a mission organized by the Moroccan Centre for Export Promotion “Maroc-Export”, in order to examine opportunities of economic partnership between Morocco and the GCC countries.
The delegation, led by Foreign Trade Minister Abdellatif Maâzouz, includes businessmen from several areas such as pharmaceutical and food processing industries, as well as textiles and leather sectors, and ICT and finance.
Last May, the GCC countries invited Morocco to join their group in order to further cement relations with the Kingdom.
During the eight-day trip, Maroc Export will sign memorandums of understanding with both Kuwait’s Chamber Commerce and Industry and UAE Dubai Exports.
